Schmidt Holiday Lighting is a full-service lease. We bring our own commercial-grade lights, install them custom to your home, and come back in January to take it all down. You do not touch a thing.

Schmidt Holiday Lighting is owned and operated by David Schmidt, a Gainesville native, University of Florida student, and former Florida Gators football player. This is not a national franchise. We are your neighbor, and we take every install personally.
We serve Haile Plantation, Tioga, Jonesville, Newberry, and the surrounding communities. When you book with Schmidt Holiday Lighting, you are supporting a local business that lives and works in the same neighborhoods you do.
Book before November 1st and lock in $6 per linear foot. After November 1st, our standard rate is $7 per foot. We measure your exact roofline — no hidden fees, no surprises.
Schmidt Holiday Lighting provides professional Christmas light installation across Gainesville FL and North Central Florida, including Haile Plantation, Tioga, Jonesville, Newberry, Oakmont, Grand Oaks, and surrounding Alachua County communities. Commercial grade C9 LED warm white lights, custom installed and removed by a local Gainesville owner.

No. We own the lights, you lease them for the season. That means no boxes in your attic, no tangled strands, and no replacing burned-out sets every year. We store, maintain, and replace everything.
We come fix it — included in your price. Every install gets a mid-season check, and if anything fails we replace it at no charge. Your lights look perfect from install day through New Year's.
No. We never use staples or nails. Every strand is attached with professional clips designed for gutters and shingles, and everything comes off cleanly in January. Your home is treated with care and respect on every job.
The earlier the better. Installs run November 1 through mid-December and the schedule fills by late October. A 50% deposit locks your install date — the balance isn't due until the day we finish.
Most homes are completed in a single visit, usually within a few hours depending on the size and complexity of your roofline. You don't need to be home, and you don't need to do a thing — we handle everything and clean up completely before we leave.
We handle all takedowns in January — it's included in your price, with nothing extra to schedule or pay. If you'd like them down earlier or left up a little longer, just let us know and we'll work around your preference.
